“When Jesus’ followers saw what was going to happen, they said, ‘Lord, should we strike with our swords?’ And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear. But Jesus answered, ‘No more of this!’ And he touched the man’s ear and healed him.” (Luke 22:49-51)

What’s on Jesus’ mind on Maundy Thursday, the day before He goes to the cross? Was He thinking about His impending suffering, agony, death? Was He thinking about suffering the weight of the world’s sins? Is He focused on Himself?
What does Jesus do the night before His death? He heals a servant’s ear. Really? He cares about someone’s ear?! Jesus is still focused on others! He cared about this servant, He cared about his ear, He cared about all those who witnessed this miracle.
Jesus still cares about others; still cares about you! He cares about your needs, He cares about your life, He cares about your faith!
You are on Jesus’ mind today, tomorrow, and always – no matter what!
Thankful for Jesus’ continual care, just like you,
pastor
